I am an artist and an academic with decades of experience working across creative & critical practice. Get in touch if you’d like to learn more about any of the many major projects I have developed over the years.
I am currently developing an original large-scale project called Halo Halo. This project takes place on multiple continents (initially in Japan, the USA and the UK). It also sees me working once again with artist Palmarin Merges. In December of 2024, we took part in the Shiroishi-Zao Residency to develop the framework for this project and to test initial ideas.
I was recently the PI on Digital Ghost Hunt (an AR project combining live performance, technology and heritage sites). It was twice-funded by the AHRC and was featured as a part of a joint overseas cultural mission by the British Council and the AHRC to locations including SXSW.
In 2016-17, I worked with printmaker Palmarin Merges on a series of works that explore how analogue and digital technologies support and confound communication. Some Assembly (an exhibition of some of this work) was chosen as a top 5 gallery opening when it premiered in Portland, OR.
I also worked with the Lee Miller Archives on a major interactive rephotography project exploring her work in WWII. That project, Traces of Lee Miller: Echoes from St Malo toured widely and was shown in major galleries including the V&A in London.
In all of my work, interrogations of narrative, performance & mediated art are explored through combining analog and material digital technologies.
During the formative years of my career, I worked with Forced Entertainment. I was the digital designer on a series of interactive projects including, Nightwalks, Frozen Palaces, Spin, and more. I also performed in the inaugural tour of The Voices and was one of the cast of Rules of the Game.
